The recent global food crisis (2007, 2010) have seen the birth of a multitude of social enterprises characterized by having brought innovation throughout the value chain of food from production to recycling. This innovation has manifested itself creating economic value and social inclusion, respect for the environment and responding to the needs of the world peripheries. The Social Enterprise World Forum 2015 will give an overview of social enterprises operating in this sector.
