Florence Hui is currently Under Secretary for Home Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. The key policy areas covered by the bureau include district administration, culture and sports, youth development and social enterprises.
Prior to joining Government, Florence was Head of Business Planning and Development for North Asia of Standard Chartered PLC, responsible for strategy development and corporate governance. Before Standard Chartered, she was management consultant with McKinsey & Company, advising international and regional corporations on market entry and growth strategy, organisational restructuring and process reengineering.
While at the bank, Florence served the banking industry as Secretary for the Hong Kong Association of Banks in 2007 and was Part-Time Member of Government’s Central Policy Unit in 2008.
Florence graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Cambridge University in the UK. She further completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School and Tsinghua University. Her interests include reading, travel, the arts and green living. She is married with two daughters.
