He has been working in the Cooperation Movement for over 35 years and is one of the founders of Italian social cooperation, fostering its development, first as President at a regional and then national level of the Social Cooperatives Federation – Federsolidarietà.

He has been one the founding members of Banca Popolare Etica both as a shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors. He promoted and took part in the creation of the Permanent National Forum of the Third Sector acting as its spokesman in the first three years 1997/2000.

He is the Chairman of AICCON – Italian Association for the Promotion of Cooperation and Not-for-profit Culture; Solidarete – Foundation for the internationalization of social enterprise; Ecoliving – a social enterprise for work integration.
