Since joining the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in 2010, Salvatore Vinci has been managing projects related to policies to promote rural electrification through renewable energy systems. He is the Chair of the Expert Group of the International Off-grid Renewable Energy Conference (IOREC) Platform.

Salvatore has 12 years of experience in the energy field, having previously worked at the Department of Energy of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.

He holds a degree cum laude in Environmental Engineering from the University of Palermo and a Master’s degree in Energy Resources Management.
